OUR LABELS
The Community Tourist Office of Grand Poitiers wishes to develop and consolidate its quality approach. To do so, the whole team is mobilized on a daily basis in order to implement the various provisions relating to the Quality Tourism mark, according to the reference system set up by Offices de Tourisme de France.
The mission of the Community Tourist Office of Grand Poitiers by committing to the label "Tourism and Disability" for the four types, is to be able to welcome and advise people in a reliable, consistent and objective on the accessibility of different sites and places of interest, accommodation, restaurant ... of the urban community, according to the disability (motor, visual, hearing and mental)
Created in 1985, the label "Ville ou Pays d'art et d'histoire" is awarded by the Minister of Culture, after consultation with the Conseil national des Villes et Pays d'art et d'histoire, to municipalities or groups of municipalities that are committed to a policy of raising awareness among residents, visitors and young people of the quality of heritage, architecture and the living environment. This label replaces the "City of Art" label, which disappeared in 2005. To date, the national network has 190 Cities and Countries of Art and History: 119 Cities of Art and History and 71 Countries of Art and History.
The tourist information offices in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, Lusignan, Poitiers and Saint-Benoît have been awarded the national Accueil Vélo label, which guarantees a high-quality welcome and services along cycle routes for touring cyclists.
