Placed under the protection of Radegonde, daughter of the king of Thuringia and wife of the Frankish king Clotaire I, the present-day church of Sainte-Radegonde in Poitiers is built around an eleventh-century bell tower-porch, a twelfth-century chevet with an ambulatory and a thirteenth-century nave.
