The 1st room is dedicated to Mélusine and retraces her legend in the form of illustrated panels, while the 2nd room presents the Lusignan family from its origins to its heyday in Poitou and its overseas kingdoms. Finally, the 3rd room is dedicated to the town and the castle and offers a reconstruction of the latter in the form of a model. In addition to the exhibition, the association's volunteers offer guided tours of Lusignan by reservation throughout the year (5€/pers.).
Visitors are invited to discover the secrets of the legend of Mélusine and to explore a great page of medieval history by discovering the town of Lusignan: the church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Junien, soon to be a thousand years old, the remains of the castle, the fortifications, as well as its famous lords who became kings of Jerusalem, Cyprus and Armenia.
